Issued 3:00 AM NST 19 December 2018 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 974 mb located near the Burin Peninsula.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday low 970 mb located over southeastern
Belle Isle Bank.

By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday approaching ridge located over Maine.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:49 AM NST 19 December 2018 A low pressure system near the Burin Peninsula will cross Eastern
Newfoundland this morning and move into Belle Isle Bank this
afternoon where it will stall.

Gale to storm force southwest to northwesterlies will spread to all
waters today in the wake of the low.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank - southwestern
half, and Funk Island Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Belle Isle Bank - northeastern half.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle and Gulf waters.
