By 10:00 a.m. NDT Thursday trough located on a line north-south
over eastern Newfoundland.
At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Avalon Peninsula.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday departing ridge located east of the
Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:46 AM NDT 9 October 2024 A trough of low pressure approaching the marine district from thewest today will slow considerably as it approaches eastern waters
tonight and Thursday. Strong to gale force southeasterlies will
spread across the district ahead of the trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf - Port au Port, Southwest Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island
Bank, and the Grand Banks.
