Issued 8:00 PM NST 4 December 2025 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight deepening low 995 mb located over theQuebec Lower North Shore.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Friday low 959 mb located over Funk Island Bank.
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
Funk Island Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday departing ridge located east of the
Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:57 PM NST 4 December 2025 A low pressure system over the Lower North Shore of Quebec will crossthe district tonight and Friday to lie over Funk Island Bank by
Friday afternoon, where it will stall and deepen. Strong to gale
force southeasterly to northeasterly winds will spread over most
waters ahead of the low tonight before shifting to gale to storm
force west to northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, and Belle
Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for Northeast Gulf and Belle
Isle Bank.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters.
