Issued 8:00 PM NST 28 January 2025 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight intensifying trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Wednesday low 932 mb located over eastern
Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:58 PM NST 28 January 2025 A trough over Newfoundland will deepen into an intense low pressure
system over the Belle Isle Bank tonight. The low is expected to track
into the Labrador Sea on Wednesday and intensify even further.
Gale to storm force southerlies ahead of the trough will shift to
gale to storm force west to southwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, South Coast, East Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk
Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect
for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except South Coast, East Coast - Cape St.
Francis and south, and the Grand Banks.
