over Laurentian Fan.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Saturday departing ridge located southeast of
the Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Saturday deepening low 1003 mb located north of
Cape Hatteras.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday low 984 mb located over the Gulf of Maine.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:47 PM AST 4 December 2020 A low pressure system will approach from the southwest on Saturday
and track slowly across the Bay of Fundy on Sunday. Strong to gale
force easterlies developing ahead of the low on Saturday will shift
to gale force southerlies over southernmost waters by late Saturday
evening.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank,
and West Scotian Slope.

Outlook for the start of the southwest lobster fishery.

Tonight..Winds southwest 20 knots increasing to southwest 25 to 30
this evening then diminishing to southwest 15 overnight. Seas 2 to 3
metres building to 3 to 4 metres this evening then subsiding to 2 to
3 metres overnight.

Saturday..Winds southwest 15 knots diminishing to light early in the
morning. Winds increasing to southeast 25 in the afternoon and to
southeast 35 in the evening. Seas 2 to 3 metres subsiding to 1 to 2
metres early in the morning then building to 3 to 5 metres in the
evening.

Sunday..Winds southwest 35 to 45 knots diminishing to westerly 25 to
35 in the morning then diminishing to northwest 25 in the afternoon.
Sea state 5 to 7 metres diminishing to 3 to 4 metres in the
afternoon.
