Issued 3:30 PM AST 18 January 2022 Tonight and Wednesday At 3:30 p.m. AST today low 979 mb located over Labrador.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Wednesday departing low 985 mb located over
Labrador Sea.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Wednesday ridge located on a line north-south
over the Gulf of Maine.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday ridge located over Cape Breton Island.

At 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday approaching low 1005 mb located over
western Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:20 PM AST 18 January 2022 An intense low pressure system over Labrador will move to lie over
the Labrador Sea on Wednesday. A ridge of high pressure over the
Gulf of Maine Wednesday morning will move eastward across the marine
district Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night. Strong to gale
force westerly winds associated with the low will diminish briefly on
Wednesday as the ridge moves across the district. Another low
pressure system will approach from Quebec Wednesday afternoon
bringing strong to gale force southwesterlies late in the day.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy and Northumberland Strait.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Lurcher, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, eastern shore, Sable,
Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait,
Chaleur-Miscou, Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti.
