By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing low 966 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 992 mb located near Long Island.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday low 985 mb located near Cape Breton
Island.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:52 AM NST 16 November 2018 Strong to gale force northwesterlies over eastern waters will
gradually diminish today as an intense low pressure system well east
of the marine district continues to move away.

A second low developing off the American East Coast will intensify as
it moves to lie over the Southwest Coast Saturday morning then just
east of Funk Island Bank in the evening. Gale force easterlies will
develop over most waters tonight and Sunday as the low approaches.
South of the track of the low winds will shift to gale to storm force
westerlies.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the South Coast, East Coast and the Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except the Strait of Belle Isle,
Northeast Gulf and Gulf - Port au Port.

A freezing spray warning is in effect for the Strait of Belle Isle.
