Issued 3:30 PM NST 23 January 2019 Tonight and Thursday At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 989 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing low 990 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located from the low to the Grand
Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday departing trough located east of the
Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Nova Scotia.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday ridge located on a line north-south over
the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:19 PM NST 23 January 2019 A low pressure system northeast of the Belle Isle Bank will continue
to move away from the district this evening. An associated trough
extending southwestward from the low across the Grand Banks will
continue eastward as well. Strong to gale force northwesterlies over
eastern waters will diminish to moderate to strong westerlies as the
trough departs tonight.

Another low approaching from the southwest will spread gale force
southerlies over Gulf - Port au Port late on Thursday.

Marine interests are advised gale warnings are in effect for Gulf -
Port au Port, Funk Island Bank, Northern Grand Banks, and
Southeastern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Southwest Coast, South Coast, and the
Grand Banks.
