Issued 3:30 PM NST 9 December 2018 Tonight and Monday At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Great Northern Peninsula.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday dissipating trough located over Funk
Island Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today deepening low 970 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Monday departing low 960 mb located south of
Greenland.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today quasi-stationary ridge located over western
Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:18 PM NST 9 December 2018 A trough of low pressure over Great Northern Peninsula will continue
to drift southeastward today and dissipate over the Funk Island Bank
tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will spread from
northwestern waters to southern waters behind this feature.

A deep low pressure system east of Funk Island Bank will continue to
deepen as it stalls east of the marine district tonight. Strong to
gale force northwesterlies will continue over eastern waters tonight
and Monday in the wake of this system.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Gulf - Port au Port, Northeast Coast and Belle Isle
Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for East Coast and Northeast Coast.
