Issued 3:00 AM NST 16 January 2019 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 981 mb located over Funk Island Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today low 981 mb located east of the Marine
District.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight approaching trough located over the
Maritimes.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday ridge located over the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:56 AM NST 16 January 2019 A low pressure system over Funk Island Bank will move out to sea this
morning. Strong to gale force north to northwesterlies will diminish
this afternoon as the low pulls away.

Meanwhile, a trough will approach from the west this evening and
cross Newfoundland on Thursday. Strong to gale force southerlies
ahead of the trough will shift to strong to gale force westerlies in
its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Southwest Coast and South Coast.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except South Coast and the Grand Banks.
