Issued 3:30 PM NDT 9 October 2024 Tonight and Thursday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over southwestern Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Thursday trough located on a line north-south
over eastern Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday departing ridge located east of the
Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:21 PM NDT 9 October 2024 A trough of low pressure approaching the marine district from the
west will slow considerably as it approaches eastern waters overnight
and Thursday. Strong to gale force southeasterlies will continue to
spread across the district ahead of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf - Port au Port, Southwest Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island
Bank, Northern Grand Banks, and Southeastern Grand Banks.
