Issued 3:30 PM NDT 20 September 2021 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today weakening low 994 mb located over the
southeastern Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday low 1006 mb located southeast of the
Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located over northern Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday quasi-stationary trough located on a line
east-west over northwestern Labrador Sea.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located over Labrador.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:16 PM NDT 20 September 2021 An intense low pressure system will track southeast of the district
tonight where it will stall for a few days. Gale to storm force
northerly winds will diminish tonight into Tuesday as the low weakens
and a ridge of high pressure moves southeast of Newfoundland.

A trough of low pressure will stretch across the Labrador Sea on
Tuesday. Gale force southwesterlies will develop over the Strait of
Belle Isle near noon Tuesday between this trough and the ridge of
high pressure to the southeast.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Northern Grand Banks and Southeastern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are
in effect for Strait of Belle Isle, South Coast, East Coast, Funk
Island Bank and Southwestern Grand Banks.
