Issued 3:30 PM AST 21 November 2019 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. AST today low 988 mb located over eastern Laurentian
Fan.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Friday departing low 983 mb located east of
Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Friday trough located west of New England.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Friday trough located on a line north-south over
the western Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located west of the Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Friday weakening ridge located on a line
north-south over Laurentian Fan.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:26 PM AST 21 November 2019 A low pressure system over Laurentian Fan will move slowly
northeastward to lie east of Banquereau this evening. Gale
Force northeasterlies north of the low shift to strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake. Winds will gradually diminish as the low
moves away.

On Friday, a trough of low pressure will approach the district from
the west to lie over the western marine disrict by evening. Moderate
to strong southerlies will develop ahead of the trough and shift to
strong to gale force southwest to westerlies behind it.


Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope,
Eastern shore - eastern half, Sable - eastern half, Fourchu,
Banquereau and Laurentian Fan.


Outlook for the start of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery.
Sunday...Winds west 10 to 15 knots diminishing to light in the
Morning then increasing to southeast 15 to 20 in the
Afternoon and to east 30 early in the evening.
Monday...Winds southwest 25 to 35 knots diminishing to west 25
Late in the evening.
Tuesday...Winds northwest 25 knots diminishing to northwest 15 in the
Morning and to light in the afternoon.
