Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:00 AM AST 26 December 2024 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:00 a.m. AST today low 1002 mb located south of Laurentian Fan.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Friday weakening low 1010 mb located near the
Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight approaching ridge located over New England.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:52 AM AST 26 December 2024 A low pressure system south of Laurentian Fan will move slowly east,
then north as it weakens to lie over the Grand Banks Friday
afternoon. Strong to gale force northerlies are expected north and
west of the low today into tonight.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
eastern shore - eastern half, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu,
Banquereau and Laurentian Fan - western half.
