Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:53 AM AST 3 March 2024 A low pressure system approaching from the Gulf of Maine will pass
east over slope waters today and Monday before passing southeast of
the district late on Monday. Strong to possibly gale force
southerlies ahead of the low will shift to strong to possibly gale
force northeasterlies north and west of the system. These cold
northeasterlies will also give freezing spray for parts of the Gulf
of St. Lawrence and the Cabot Strait.
Marine interests are advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait, Gulf - Magdalen, Chaleur - Miscou - eastern
half and Anticosti - eastern half.
