Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM NDT 10 September 2026 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over southeastern Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing ridge located southeast of the
Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located over the Maritimes.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Friday trough located east of Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:51 AM NDT 10 September 2026 A trough of low pressure approaching from the west will move to lie
over the Maritimes by this afternoon and east of Newfoundland by
Friday morning. Strong to gale force southerlies will develop over
most water ahead of the trough. Strong to gale force westerlies are
forecast behind the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, Northeast
Coast, Funk Island Bank, and the Grand Banks.
