Issued 10:00 AM NDT 24 October 2020 Today Tonight and Sunday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today Hurricane Epsilon 972 mb located southwest
of Laurentian Fan.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Sunday Hurricane Epsilon 975 mb located over
the southern Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located over the St. Lawrence River.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Sunday trough located over Belle Isle Bank.

By 10:00 a.m. NDT today departing high 1029 mb located over the
northeastern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:00 AM NDT 24 October 2020 A trough of low pressure will approach the marine district from the
west today while hurricane epsilon tracks towards the Southern Grand
Banks from the southwest. Gale force southeasterlies will spread
across southern waters this morning ahead of epsilon, while
Gale force southerlies will develop over northern waters this
afternoon in advnace of the trough. Gale force southeasterlies will
veer to hurricane force southwesterlies as epsilon crosses the
Southern Grand Banks Sunday morning. Gale to storm force
northwesterlies are expected in the wake of epsilon and the trough
later on Sunday.

Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for Southeastern Grand Banks - southeastern half.
Storm warnings are in effect for southeastern grand
Banks - northwestern half and Southwestern Grand Banks. Gale warnings
are in effect for Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, East Coast,
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and the Northern Grand Banks.

At 10:00 A.M. NDT, hurricane epsilon was located near latitude 37.1
north and longitude 61.3 west, about 680 nautical miles southwest of
Cape Race. Maximum sustained winds were estimated at 65 knots and
central pressure at 972 MB. Epsilon is moving northward at 11 knots.
Epsilon is expected to make a turn to the northeast today and pass
through the Southern Grand Banks on Sunday as a hurricane or strong
post-tropical storm.
