of the Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary ridge located from Funk
Island Bank to Quebec.

At 3:30 p.m. NST Monday approaching trough located over Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:46 PM NST 18 February 2018 An intense low pressure system will skirt just south of the Southern
Grand Banks tonight and move east of the district on Monday. Ahead of
this system, strong to gale force easterlies will develop over the
Southern Grand Banks this evening and further increase to gale to
storm force northerlies tonight. Over the Northern Grand Banks,
strong to gale force northerlies associated with this feature will
develop early on Monday. Winds will ease late in the day on Monday as
the low departs.

A trough of low pressure will approach Gulf waters late Monday.
Strong to gale force southwesterlies are forecast ahead of this

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Southern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for Northeast
Gulf, Gulf-Port au Port, and Northern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank.
