Issued 10:00 AM NST 20 February 2020 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:00 a.m. NST today departing trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the eastern Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 978 mb located over northwestern
Labrador Sea.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday approaching low 976 mb located over southern
Labrador Sea.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located south of the Maritimes.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Friday ridge located on a line east-west over
the southern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:58 AM NST 20 February 2020 Strong to gale force westerlies over the marine district will
gradually subside as a trough of low pressure over the eastern waters
exits the area this afternoon.

Meanwhile, a low pressure system tracking southward over the Labrador
Sea today and tonight will move across northeastern sections of Belle
Isle Bank on Friday. Westerly winds will increase to strong to gale
force westerlies as this feature approaches, with gale to storm force
on Friday over Belle Isle Bank as it passes.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Strait of Belle Isle and the Southern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Strait of Belle Isle and the southern
half of the Southern Grand Banks.
