By 3:30 p.m. NDT Wednesday low 974 mb located over southern
Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:29 PM NDT 1 April 2025 A low pressure system over the Northeast Gulf will intensify as ittracks northeastward across the Belle Isle Bank tonight, and then
further deepen as it moves to lie nearly stationary over the South
Labrador Sea on Wednesday. Strong southeasterlies ahead of the low
will shift to strong to gale force southwest to northwesterlies in
its wake. The northwesterlies will further increase to hurricane
force over extreme northern waters on Wednesday.
Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Northeast Gulf, East Coast - north of Cape
St. Francis, Northern Grand Banks, and Southeastern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, and
Belle Isle Bank.
