At 3:30 p.m. NST today quasi-stationary trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Sea.
At 10:00 a.m. NST Saturday approaching low 986 mb located over
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:25 PM NST 19 January 2018 A low pressure system over the Southern Grand Banks will move to lie
east of the marine district by Saturday morning. Strong to gale force
southwesterlies to the south of the low shift to strong
northeasterlies to its north. Winds will back to gale force
northerlies as the low moves across the Grand Banks this evening,
then diminish overnight as it departs.
