Issued 8:00 PM NST 24 February 2018 Tonight and Sunday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight intensifying low 991 mb located over the
southeastern Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday quasi-stationary low 962 mb located
southeast of the Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over northern Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday departing trough from 962 mb low located
east of the Marine District.

By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday high 1034 mb located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:49 PM NST 24 February 2018 An intensifying low pressure system over the Southeastern Grand Banks
will move to lie southeast of the Grand Banks Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure over the Belle Isle Bank will
track southeastwards and merge with the low on Sunday.

Gale force southeasterly winds over the Southeastern Grand Banks will
shift to gale force northwesterlies in the wake of the low tonight.
Strong to gale force northerlies will develop over most waters
tonight in the wake of both systems.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
East Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and the Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southeastern Grand Banks.
