Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:52 PM NDT 21 September 2018 An intense low pressure system will cross Labrador on Saturday as an
associated trough crosses Newfoundland waters. Gale to storm force
southerlies will develop over Gulf waters this evening ahead of the
trough and will spread across the marine district tonight and
Saturday. The gale to storm force southerlies will veer to gale force
west to southwesterlies in the wake of the trough by Saturday night.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, the Gulf waters, Northeast Coast - north of
Cape St. John and Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for
all remaining waters except Southeastern Grand Banks.
