At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight trough from 1003 mb low located on a line
northeast-southwest over the northern Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Sunday trough from 994 mb low located east of
the Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Sunday approaching ridge located over the
Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:49 PM NDT 26 May 2018 A low pressure system south of the Avalon Peninsula will track
eastward tonight, then intensify as it moves to lie east of the Grand
Banks on Sunday. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will develop
over eastern waters Sunday morning in the wake of the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank and Northern Grand Banks.
