At 10:00 a.m. NST today high located south of Nova Scotia.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Friday high located southeast of the Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:36 AM NST 23 January 2025 A strong area of high pressure south of Nova Scotia will move tosouth of the Grand Banks today, while a strong low pressure system
move through the Labrador Sea. Gale force westerlies will spread over
northern waters today and tonight between the high and the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle
Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
