At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the eastern Marine District.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Saturday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Avalon Peninsula.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:39 PM AST 13 December 2019 A ridge of high pressure over the marine district will continueTo move eastward tonight. Moderate northerlies ahead of the ridge
will increase to moderate to strong southerlies behind it.
These southerly winds will continue to strengthen throughout the day
Saturday to become gale force south to southeasterlies by Saturday
afternoon or evening as a low pressure system approaches from the
southwest.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Chaleur - Miscou - western half.
