Wind southerly 20 to 25 knots backing to southeast 30 near noon with gusts to 55 in the Wreckhouse area. Wind becoming southeast 35 early this evening with gusts to 60 in the Wreckhouse area. Wind diminishing to southwest 25 near midnight then increasing to southwest 35 to 45 Tuesday afternoon.

Periods of rain this afternoon and tonight. Showers Tuesday.

Issued 10:00 AM ADT 5 October 2026 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:00 a.m. ADT today low located near Southwestern Shore.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Tuesday intensifying low located north of the
Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:31 AM ADT 5 October 2026 A low pressure system will continue to intensify as it approaches
northeastern waters late in the day. Strong to gale force
southeasterlies are expected ahead of this system. Strong to gale
force westerlies are expected across the district on Tuesday in the
wake of this low, with winds possibly reaching near storm force over
Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
eastern shore, Sable, Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait, and all Gulf
of St. Lawrence waters.
