Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:15 PM ADT 20 September 2019 Post-tropical storm Humberto will continue to track through
Laurentian Fan marine area today before departing across the Southern
Grand Banks early Saturday morning. Gales affecting some eastern
offshore waters increase to storm force for Laurentian Fan as
Humberto moves through. Gale to storm force northwesterlies expected
tonight behind Humberto over easternmost waters will gradually
diminish early Saturday morning as the post-tropical storm departs.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings are in effect for Sable - eastern half,
East Scotian Slope - eastern half, and Banquereau - southern half.
At 3.00 PM ADT, post-tropical storm Humberto was located near
latitude 43.4 north and longitude 56.5 west, about 240 nautical
Miles southwest of Cape Race. Maximum sustained winds were
Estimated at 60 knots and central pressure at 975 MB. Humberto is
moving northeast at 21 knots.
