Issued 10:00 AM ADT 4 September 2026 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. ADT today low 1007 mb located over western NovaScotia.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Saturday intensifying low 998 mb located over
Eastern Shore.
At 8:00 p.m. ADT Saturday quasi-stationary low 996 mb located over
southern Banquereau.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:22 AM ADT 4 September 2026 A low pressure system over the Gulf of Maine will intensify and moveslowly eastward today and tonight to lie over eastern shore overnight
tonight. The low will then stall over Southern Banquereau Saturday
evening.
Winds will increase to strong to gale force easterlies or
northeasterlies over northern and eastern marine areas. Over western
waters, winds will increase to strong northerlies on Saturday in the
wake of the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope - western half, Fourchu,
Banquereau, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait and Gulf-Magdalen.
