By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday low 968 mb located northeast of
Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. AST today ridge located over Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday ridge located on a line north-south over
the central Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:33 AM AST 8 December 2023 Gale force northwesterly winds over northern and eastern waters in
the wake of an intense low pressure system northeast of Newfoundland
will gradually diminish tonight and Saturday as a ridge of high
pressure builds in from the west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, and
Anticosti.
