Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM AST 12 November 2019 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight warm front from 998 mb low located over
the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Wednesday warm front from 998 mb low located over
the Quebec Lower North Shore.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight cold front from 998 mb low located over
the western Marine District.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Wednesday cold front from 994 mb low located from
Anticosti Island to West Scotian Slope.

By 3:30 p.m. AST Wednesday cold front located on a line north-south
over Laurentian Fan.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:47 PM AST 12 November 2019 A low pressure system over the Gulf of St. Lawrence will track
northeastward tonight and Wednesday reaching the Labrador Sea by
Wednesday evening. A warm front extending from the low through the
Gulf of St. Lawrence will give strong to gale force southwesterlies
south of the front and strong to gale force northeasterlies to its
north. On Wednesday, most regions will see strong to gale force
northwesterlies in the wake of the low, especially over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Fourchu, Banquereau
- northern half, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait,
Gulf - Magdalen, Chaleur - Miscou, and Anticosti.

Outlook for the start-up of the Southwest New Brunswick lobster
fishery.
