Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM AST 11 November 2019 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Laurentian Fan.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Tuesday warm front from 1008 mb low located from
Cape Cod to Cabot Strait.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Tuesday intensifying warm front from 1004 mb
low located from the Bay of Fundy to Îles-de-la-Madeleine.

At 8:00 p.m. AST Tuesday cold front from 996 mb low located from
the Bay of Fundy to Georges Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:54 PM AST 11 November 2019 A low pressure system lying over the Gulf of Maine Tuesday morning
will track over Southern New Brunswick Tuesday afternoon and into the
Gulf of St. Lawrence by early Wednesday morning. A strong warm front
extending from the low through the Gulf of St. Lawrence will have
strong to gale force southwesterlies south of the front and strong to
gale force northeasterlies north of the front. On Wednesday, most
regions will see strong to gale force northwesterlies in the wake of
the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore - eastern half,
Fourchu, Banquereau - northern half, Cabot Strait, Gulf - Magdalen,
Chaleur - Miscou, and Anticosti.

Outlook for the start-up of the Southwest New Brunswick lobster
fishery.

Lfa36 tonight..Northeast evening. Seas near 1 metre or less.

Tuesday..Winds northeast 15 to 20 after midnight increasing to south
20 by Tuesday morning. Then winds veering to southwest 25 near noon
then to northwest 25 near midnight. Seas less than 1 metre early
morning becoming 1 to 2 metres by noon then building to 2 metres in
the afternoon with choppy seas as winds blow against the ebbing tide.

Wednesday..Winds northwest 25 to 30 knots. Seas 1 to 2 metres.

Thursday..Winds northwest 20 becoming light early in the morning then
increasing to southwest 15 in the evening. Seas less than 1 metre.

Lfa38 tonight..Wind northeast 15 to 20. Seas near 1 metre.

Tuesday..Winds northeast 15 to 20 increasing to southeast 20 to 25
overnight then to south 25 to 30 in the morning. Wind veering to
southwest 25 near noon then to northwest 25 in the evening. Seas 1 to
2 metres building to 2 to 3 metres in the afternoon with choppy seas
as winds blow against the ebbing tide.

Wednesday..Winds northwest 25 to 30 knots. Seas 2 metres.

Thursday..Winds northwest 20 becoming light early in the morning then
increasing to southwest 15 to 20 in the afternoon. Seas less than 1
metre.
