Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM AST 30 November 2020 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. AST today departing ridge located over the eastern
Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. AST today low 997 mb located southeast of the Great
Lakes.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Wednesday low 992 mb located over southern Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:17 PM AST 30 November 2020 A low pressure system is forecast to track up the Eastern United
States today and stall over Southern Quebec on Tuesday. Strong to
gale force southeast winds will develop over western waters this
evening and then slowly spread eastward overnight into Tuesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, West Scotian
Slope, East Scotian Slope - western half, Cabot Strait,
Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur Miscou - eastern half,
and Anticosti.

Outlook for the start of the southwest lobster fishery.

Today...Winds southeast 25 knots increasing 35 this evening. Seas 1
to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 metres this evening.

Tuesday...Winds southeast 35 knots increasing to 40 to 45 knots in
the afternoon then decreasing to southwest 15 to 20 knots near
midnight. Seas 4 to 6 metres.

Wednesday...Winds westerly 10 to 15 knots increasing to southwest 15
to 20 in the afternoon and to 20 to 25 in the evening. Seas 3 to 5
metres subsiding to near 3 metres in the afternoon and 2 to 3 metres
in the evening.

Thursday..Winds southwest 25 knots diminishing to west 15 to 20 in
the evening. Seas near 2 metres.
