At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Sunday ridge located from the Grand Banks to the
Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:54 PM NST 28 January 2023 A trough located over Quebec will track eastward to lie over BelleIsle Bank on Sunday afternoon. Strong to gale force southwesterly
winds ahead of the trough will spread over most waters and become
strong to gale force westerlies in its wake on Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that gale and freezing spray warnings
are in effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast,
Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank.
