Wind diminishing to variable 10 to 15 this evening then increasing to northeast 25 late overnight except northeast 35 over southern sections Sunday morning and afternoon. Wind becoming north 25 Sunday afternoon.

Flurries this morning. Snow over southern sections overnight and Sunday morning. Flurries Sunday afternoon and evening. Visibility 1 mile or less in precipitation.

Freezing spray warning in effect.

Over open water freezing spray today and early this evening. Freezing spray overnight. Freezing spray over western sections Sunday.

Temperatures minus 10 to minus 2.

Issued 10:00 AM NDT 14 March 2026 Today Tonight and Sunday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today low 956 mb located southeast of Greenland.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today departing low 957 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today deepening low 998 mb located over southern
New Brunswick.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Sunday low 986 mb located east of Funk Island Bank.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over western Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Sunday departing ridge located northeast of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:55 AM NDT 14 March 2026 An intense low pressure system southeast of Greenland will continue
to track northeastward today. Strong to gale force westerly to
northwesterly winds over northern waters will diminish today as a
ridge of high pressure builds in from the southwest.

Another low pressure system will approach from the Maritimes later
today and track across Eastern Newfoundland tonight. Strong to gale
force northeast to southeasterly winds will develop north of this low
while strong to gale force southwesterlies are expected south of it.
Winds will shift to gale to storm force northwesterlies in the wake
of the low late on Sunday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank and Northern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except Strait of Belle Isle and
Northeast Gulf.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters, East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis,
Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
