Issued 8:00 PM NST 19 February 2019 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight intensifying low 948 mb located east of
the Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Wednesday low 936 mb located southeast of
Greenland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday trough located over northeastern Belle
Isle Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Wednesday trough located over southeastern Funk
Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:53 PM NST 19 February 2019 A very intense low pressure system located well east of the Grand
Banks will continue to deepen as it moves southeast of Greenland on
Wednesday. Gale force northwesterly winds will gradually spread
across most waters tonight behind the low.

On Wednesday, a trough extending from the low will swing
southeastward along the northeastern edge of the district spreading
storm force northwesterlies to northern and eastern waters.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Northeast
Gulf.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Strait of Belle Isle and Northeast Coast
which are mainly ice covered.
