Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM NDT 25 September 2018 Tonight and Wednesday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located over Nova Scotia.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday quasi-stationary ridge located on a
line northeast-southwest over the Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located over northern Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Wednesday trough located over Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:46 PM NDT 25 September 2018 A trough of low pressure over Northern Quebec will cross Northern
Labrador on Wednesday. Strong to gale force southerlies will develop
over western waters on Wednesday with this system.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, and Gulf-Port au Port.

Tropical cyclone information: as of 11:30 A.M. NDT post-tropical
storm Leslie was located in the central Atlantic near 31.6 north 44.4
west. Leslie has maximum sustained winds of 30 knots and is currently
moving toward the east at 10 knots.

Leslie is expected to meander over the central Atlantic Ocean over
the next several days as it gradually reintensifies while regaining
some tropical characteristics.
