Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:00 AM NDT 21 October 2020 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today departing low 1003 mb located east of the
Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight approaching low 1015 mb located near the
Gaspe Peninsula.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday departing ridge located over Funk
Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:57 AM NDT 21 October 2020 A low pressure system east of the marine district will continue
tracking northeast this morning. Strong to gale force northwesterlies
behind the low will diminish today as the low moves away.

A second low pressure system will approach from the southwest tonight
and cross the Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland Thursday morning,
before departing the marine district Thursday night. Strong to gale
force westerlies will develop south of the low Thursday afternoon.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank.
