Issued 10:00 AM NST 18 February 2019 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 967 mb located over Labrador Sea.By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 973 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today intensifying low 1009 mb located southeast
of Cape Cod.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 972 mb located southeast of the
Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:09 AM NST 18 February 2019 An intense low pressure system will remain nearly stationary over theLabrador Sea today and tonight before slowly moving eastward on
Tuesday. Generally strong to gale force westerly winds are expected
over all waters, with gale to storm force northwesterlies over the
Belle Isle Bank tonight.
A second low pressure system will skirt the southern edge of the
Grand Banks tonight and Tuesday. Gale force northerlies will develop
over the Southern Grand Banks tonight to the north of the low.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except the Northern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Strait of Belle Isle and Northeast Coast
which are mainly ice covered.
