Issued 10:00 AM NDT 17 October 2018 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today low 966 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today departing low 966 mb located east of
Labrador Sea.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Belle Isle Bank.

By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday approaching trough located over Anticosti
Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:54 AM NDT 17 October 2018 An intense low pressure system northeast of Belle Isle will continue
to move eastward away from the marine district today. Gale force west
to northwesterlies in its wake will gradually diminish today.

Meanwhile a trough of low pressure is forecast to approach from the
west tonight. The trough is expected to extend eastward across
Newfoundland on Thursday. Strong to gale force northeasterlies are
expected north of the trough while strong to gale force
southwesterlies are expected to its south.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Gulf - Port au Port, Northeast Coast and Southeastern
Grand Banks.
