Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:53 AM AST 4 December 2021 Strong to gale force northwesterlies in the wake of an intense low
over the Labrador Sea will diminish today as the low continues to
move away. A weak ridge of high pressure will follow in its wake
tonight. However, a small and fast moving disturbance will track
across the Gulf of Maine overnight tonight to lie near Sable Island
Sunday afternoon. A brief period of strong to near gale force
northwesterlies is expected just behind this low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Gulf - Magdalen
and Anticosti. Freezing spray warnings are in effect for
Northumberland Strait, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
