southward to Laurentian Fan will move northeast today to lie over
Western Newfoundland this afternoon as the associated front departs
into the Grand Banks. Strong southerly winds ahead of the system will
increase to strong to gale force westerly to northwesterly winds in

eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf - Magdalen,
