Issued 3:00 AM AST 28 February 2020 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. AST today trough from 988 mb low located from New
Brunswick to Banquereau.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today quasi-stationary trough from 990 mb low
located on a line east-west over the northern Gulf of St. Lawrence.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Saturday trough located on a line north-south
over Georges Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday trough located from Grand Manan to West
Scotian Slope.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:42 AM AST 28 February 2020 A low pressure system over New Brunswick will move northeast into the
Gulf of St. Lawrence this morning and then stall near Anticosti
Island by this evening. Gale to storm force easterlies ahead of the
system shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies to its south.
Winds will gradually diminish today and drop to moderate to strong
for most areas.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Banquereau, Cabot Strait and Anticosti - northern half. Gale warnings
are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait - northern half, Gulf - Magdalen, Chaleur -
Miscou, and Anticosti.
