By 3:00 a.m. AST Wednesday ridge located south of the Marine

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight approaching trough located over New
England.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:06 PM AST 9 December 2025 A low pressure system northeast of Newfoundland will continue to pull
further away today. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will
diminish in the wake of the low.

A trough of low pressure will approach tonight and cross the marine
district Wednesday. Strong to potentially gale force southwesterlies
will develop ahead of this feature.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Cabot Strait and Anticosti.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Cabot Strait and all Gulf
of St. Lawrence waters.
