Wind northwest 15 knots diminishing to light this morning then increasing to easterly 15 to 20 this afternoon. Wind increasing to easterly 35 this evening then veering to southerly 35 overnight. Wind veering to west 40 near noon Wednesday with gusts to 50 along the coast.
Snow beginning this afternoon changing to a few showers Wednesday morning then to a few flurries Wednesday afternoon. Visibility 1 mile or less in precipitation.

over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing ridge located east of the
Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:53 AM AST 23 January 2018 A low pressure system near the Great Lakes this morning will track
eastward towards the region. Strong to gale force southerlies will
spread across most of the district on ahead of a trough associated
with this system. There is a chance of storm force southerlies over
southern waters near the trough.
As this trough tracks east over northern forecast waters on Wednesday
strong to gale force westerlies will develop in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Gulf-Magdalen,
Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
