Issued 10:00 AM AST 14 November 2018 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:00 a.m. AST today deepening low 977 mb located over the
northeastern Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today intensifying low 958 mb located over
northern Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Thursday departing low 944 mb located northeast
of Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Thursday ridge located west of the Marine
By 8:00 p.m. AST Thursday ridge located over Nova Scotia.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:23 AM AST 14 November 2018 A low pressure system currently over northeastern gulf of
St. Lawrence will continue to intensify as it moves east of
Newfoundland this afternoon. Gale to storm force westerlies in
The wake of the low will begin to diminish on Thursday as the
Low moves further away over the northern Atlantic.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
eastern shore-eastern half, Sable-eastern half, East Scotian
Slope-eastern half, Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot
Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and
Anticosti. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

High winds will produce rough and pounding surf along west facing
shorelines in the Gulf of St. Lawrence today and tonight.

Outlook for the start-up of the Southwest New Brunswick lobster

Today..Winds west 40 (lfa36), and northwest 45 knots (lfa38).

Thursday..Winds diminishing to northwest 30 knots just before sunrise
and then to northerly 20 in the middle of the morning (lfa38 and
western lfa36) and late in the morning (eastern lfa36). Winds
diminishing to north 10 knots throughout the Bay of Fundy in the
afternoon. Waves 2 metres over southern sections of the fishing
districts, subsiding to less than 1 in the afternoon.

Friday..Winds becoming southeast 15 to 20 knots around sunrise and
then increasing to easterly 35 around noon and then becoming
northerly 35 in the evening.

Saturday..Wind westerly 25 knots diminishing to westerly 15 to 20
late in the day.
