Issued 3:30 PM NST 20 January 2025 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. NST today deepening low 977 mb located over the WestCoast of Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Tuesday low 955 mb located over northeastern
Labrador Sea.
At 3:30 p.m. NST Tuesday building ridge located south of the
Maritimes.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:28 PM NST 20 January 2025 An intense low pressure system moving northward along the west coastof Newfoundland will cross Belle Isle Bank this evening and the
Labrador Sea on Tuesday. Gale to storm force south to southeasterlies
ahead and east of the low will shift to gale to storm force southwest
to northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for
all remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
