Issued 10:14 PM EST 11 December 2017 A low pressure system currently over the Great Lakes will intensify as it tracks northeastwards and is forecast to give storm force winds to portions of Eastern Hudson Strait, Ungava Bay and Southern Davis Strait beginning late Thursday and lasting into Friday. Sustained wind speeds of up to 55 knots are anticipated at this time.

Any mariners anticipating travel in the area should take appropriate precautions and be prepared for storm force winds and reduced visibilities in falling snow.
