Showers ending this morning. Periods of rain or snow overnight and Wednesday. Fog patches dissipating overnight. Visibility 1 mile or less in fog patches and in precipitation.

Issued 4:00 AM NDT 12 May 2026 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 a.m. NDT today low 996 mb located over the Northwest
Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday departing low 1003 mb located over
Davis Strait.

At 4:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday approaching low 998 mb located northeast
of Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:50 AM NDT 12 May 2026 An intensifying low pressure system approaching from the south will
cross Newfoundland tonight and further deepen as it moves to lie
north of the island on Wednesday. Strong to gale force north to
northwesterlies will develop ahead of the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast - Hopedale and south, and
South Labrador Sea.
