Wind light increasing to southeast 10 to 15 knots this morning and to southeast 15 to 20 this afternoon. Wind increasing to southeast 25 this evening and to southeast 35 near midnight. Wind diminishing to northwest 25 Thursday morning then increasing to northwest 35 to 45 near noon Thursday.

Rain beginning this evening changing to snow near noon Thursday. Visibility as low as 1 mile in snow.

Issued 4:00 AM NDT 20 May 2026 Today Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 998 mb located over Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Thursday deepening low 988 mb located over
southern Labrador.

At 9:30 a.m. NDT Thursday deepening trough located on a line
north-south over the East Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Thursday trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over the South Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight dissipating ridge located over Labrador
Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:45 AM NDT 20 May 2026 A deepening low pressure system over Quebec will move through
Labrador tonight before crossing Belle Isle Bank on Thursday.
Over southern waters,strong to gale force southeasterlies ahead of
the low increase to gale force northwesterlies behind it.

Meanwhile, on Thursday a trough of low pressure extending northward
from the low will move southward over the Labrador Sea. Strong to
gale force northerlies ahead of the trough veer to strong to gale
force easterlies as it passes.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
