By 4:00 a.m. NDT Saturday ridge located on a line north-south
over Greenland.
At 4:00 p.m. NDT today trough from 980 mb low located over the
Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Saturday trough from 979 mb low located on a line
north-south over western Labrador.
At 4:00 p.m. NDT today low 980 mb located southwest of the
Maritimes.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Saturday low 979 mb located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:51 AM NDT 29 March 2024 A low pressure system is expected to approach the Maritimes today.A trough of low pressure ahead of the low will persist over the Gulf
of St. Lawrence today and tonight before moving over Western Labrador
on Saturday. Gale force southeasterlies are expected to develop over
most waters tonight and Saturday between the trough and a ridge of
high pressure building over Greenland.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.
